QUESTION 1:Explain how the author creates suspense in this book

The author in this book does a great job at creating suspense in this novel. She switches off between to different stories. In the beginning, I thought that it was the main character when she became older, but then I started thinking differently. The author uses two different time periods to describe two different stories. Every time the chapter ends, the author leaves you hanging and then starts talking about the other story. I think this is a great technique to use because it leaves the reader hanging and forces them to read more.

QUESTION 2: Do you think you would read another book by this author? Why or why not?

This author does a great job at describing everything that is happening. She makes it almost impossible to put the book down. She wrote this book on an interesting topic to me which makes me enjoy the book even more. I think that I will definitely be willing to read her other books. I don't know if the topics will be as interesting but I think her writing style will be the same. I hope that she continues writing because her style of writing is awesome and she is a very talented writer.
