- Perspective: Ms. Maudie
These past few weeks, have been some of the coldest that Maycomb has ever seen. They have kept everyone isolated in their houses. Jem and Scout seem to be enjoying the snow. They collected all the snow from my yard, thankfully, and they saved my flowers well at least for the time being. They went into the streets and collected all of the snow. I had no idea what they were going to do but I'm glad that they took the snow from my yard. Over these past weeks, and the weeks prior to the snowstorm, Jem and Scout have been coming over more often. I'm not sure whether its because Jem and Dill want to get rid of Scout, but I have enjoyed my time with her. She doesn't seem like it, but she is a girl with a grade imagination and shes not perplexed often.
My house caught on fire the other day. I was trying to keep my flowers warm by keeping them adjacent to the stove. that was not a very good idea. Sometime during the night, the flowers caught on fire which eventually led to my whole house being lite. All of Maycomb was out that night. It must've been one in the morning. Although I don't agree with all of the voices of Maycomb, it was nice to see them out and caring about someone else besides themselves. Except the Radleys. Recently, Scout, Jem, and Dill have gone through this fanatical over the Radleys. They have tried endless amounts of time to get Aurthur out of the house. I think they just want to know whether Authur is alive or not. I know that he is but he likes to keep to himself. The kids need to respect him privacy and stop there obsession over him.
While all this commotion was happening, Jem and Scout somehow got a blanket put over them. I don't know if they put it there or not but Atiicus and them debated. Atticus, I think, is started to catch onto the children's games. They are trying to get Aurthur out of his house and I think Atticus has come to the end of it. He is tired of their Radley fanatical and I think Aurthur is to.
